Copyright Policy
Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
At Exportra, we take intellectual property rights very seriously. To ensure a smooth production process and to remain in compliance with copyright law, we require all customers to adhere to the following policies regarding the materials submitted for printing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Your Responsibility
By submitting files, designs, or artwork to us, you confirm that:
-
You are the owner of the material, or you have obtained written permission from the copyright holder to use and reproduce it.
-
The material does not violate the intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights, or patents) of any third party.
-
The content is not libelous, obscene, or otherwise in violation of any applicable laws.
2. Our Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse any order if we suspect the content violates copyright, trademark, or safety laws. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Reproducing copyrighted photography, artwork, or literary works.
-
Printing protected trademarks, professional sports logos, or corporate branding without verifiable proof of authorization.
-
Any request that appears to be unauthorized by the original owner.
3. Indemnification
As the client, you agree to hold Exportra and our staff harmless against any legal claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) that may arise if your submitted content is found to be in violation of a third party’s intellectual property rights. You accept full legal responsibility for the materials you provide.
4. Verification
If we have reason to believe your project contains protected material, we may ask you to provide proof of ownership or a Letter of Authorization. We cannot print projects involving sensitive branding without this documentation.
5. No Responsibility for Verification
While we strive to maintain a respectful and legal work environment, Exportra IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for independently verifying the ownership status of every file submitted. You (as the client) are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to print the files you send to us.
Pro-Tip for Customers: If you are using stock imagery, ensure you have purchased the appropriate commercial license that covers physical print reproduction, as some licenses are restricted to digital use only.
Important Notice: Unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted material is a serious legal issue. We encourage all clients to ensure their files are original or appropriately licensed before submission. If you are unsure whether your project requires a license, we recommend consulting with an intellectual property attorney or the original creator of the work.
